SnapUpBargains · Your privacy
Privacy Policy
What information we collect when you use SnapUpBargains, why, and your rights over it.
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This policy explains how SnapUpBargains (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit snapupbargains.com. We are the data controller for this website under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What we collect
You do not need an account to use SnapUpBargains, and the only form on the site is the privacy request form at the bottom of this page. The information we handle is:
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit, recorded in server and security logs by our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare).
- Cookie data: small files that remember your region and help protect the site from bots. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
- Privacy requests: if you use the privacy request form, the name, email address and message you send us. To block spam, that page uses Cloudflare Turnstile and Google reCAPTCHA, which check your browser and device to confirm you are a person. They only load on the page with the form.
Why we use it
- To run the website, keep it secure and protect it from abuse (our legitimate interests).
- To show you the right regional version of the site (our legitimate interests).
- To answer privacy requests you send us and keep a record of how we handled them (our legal obligations).
Affiliate links and retailers
Many links on our site go to retailers such as Amazon, sometimes through affiliate networks. When you click one, you leave our site and the retailer or network may record that you came from us so we can be credited for a qualifying purchase. We do not receive your name, address, payment details or order details. What happens on the retailer’s site is covered by that retailer’s own privacy policy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with service providers who help us run the site, such as our web host and Cloudflare, who process it on our behalf. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum are in place.
How long we keep it
Server and security logs are kept for a short period, normally no longer than 30 days, unless needed to investigate a security issue. Privacy requests and our replies are kept for up to two years, so we have a record of how each one was handled. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our Cookie Policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, use the privacy request form below. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
SnapUpBargains is intended for adults and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Make a privacy request
Use this form to exercise any of your data protection rights or to ask a question about this policy. It is only for privacy requests: for anything to do with an order, please contact the retailer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
